The Professional Team

Delwyn Williams – PGA Professional

Delwyn started playing golf at the age of 12. He played most of his amateur golf at Radyr Golf Club and Llantrisant & Pontyclun Golf Club. He has represented Glamorgan county at junior level and won his first men’s Club Championship at the age of 18. He joined the team at The Glamorganshire in June 2019, turned professional in September 2019 and completed his PGA training in 2022. Delwyn has experience of working at Members golf clubs and Resort venues.

His main passion is coaching whether it’s beginner golfers or elite players. Using video analysis and GC2 launch monitor during his lessons, Delwyn can identify any weaknesses and create the simplest plan tailored for you for improvement. He provides excellent customer service and has vast knowledge of products and merchandising. Golf lessons can also be provided in Welsh as it’s Delwyn’s first language.

Kevin Davies – PGA Professional

Kevin has been a PGA Professional for over 25 years. He grew up playing his golf at Mountain Ash Golf Club, where he is still a proud member. During his time a Professional, Kevin has served on the PGA West region committee for six years while he was the Captain of The PGA in South Wales, a position he was very proud and honoured to have held.

Having played golf for over 40 years and seen many changes in the equipment, Kevin still enjoys playing the game socially and still competes regularly on the PGA West Region circuit and has a handful of victories to his name! Caerphilly Golf Club and Aberdare Golf Club hold special memories for Kevin as he has held the position of Head PGA Professional at both clubs before moving on to The Glamorganshire Golf Club. All aspects of the golf business still interests him, and he gets as much satisfaction from regripping a club or fixing a broken shaft as he does in fixing someone’s slice.

Patrick Addis – Golf Operations Manager

My golfing life started in the millennium aged ten in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Later in life I earnt a National Diploma and Btec in golf studies after two years at Hartpury College. After around a decade in the motor industry away from golf and home, I secured a weekend job at Sandy Lodge GC as well as working part time in the American Golf store at Much Hadham GC, soon working exclusively full time at Sandy Lodge in Hertfordshire.

During the pandemic I moved back closer to home in a seasonal role at Celtic Manor Twenty Ten Club, accepting a full time role shortly after, then finally being promoted to administrator for my last year with the resort. This brings me to the current day and my position as Golf Operations Manager here at the Glamorganshire GC. Every day, I absolutely love my day to day dealings with people, whether they be members or visitors and look forward to seeing and serving you soon.
